Waimate's Formidable Duo

Justin & Peter

The official home team has been entered! The formidable duo of Justin Chittock and Peter Trainor bring with them a formidable reputation as they lay down the challenge to surrounding clubs to see who will take out the inaugural challenge. Justin is taking on the bike leg and is generally considered "overly fit/ fit as a fiddle" by his friends (he's been known to head up Mt. Studholme after work to break the boredom!). Flu struck him down before his last big event so he's looking to make amends in this one. Best known for his coaching, we're hoping that Peter can do some more "schooling" when he heads out on the run leg. A top South Canterbury runner who still pumps out sub 4 minute km's, we're sure that the mere mention of Peter's name will invoke fear in the heart of many. The gauntlet has been laid down – which clubs will accept the challenge? Waimate show your support and show some support to match the line-up!

Each team will need to raise $500 to enter the challenge, with funds being to disbursed to local, regional, and national charities. The beneficiaries will include Kids Can, South Canterbury Hospice, Centrecare Counselling, Whitehorse MTB Club, and further local groups via the Rotary Club of Waimate.
