The Veterinary Centre Whitehorse Big Easy is the event that offers something for every age and fitness level!
We have events for all ages and abilities, grab the kids, grab your friends and make a weekend of it. For more on what to do while you're here check out this website: www.waimate.org.nz.
Entries before April 3rd save $10 per entrant, plus your race bib will have your name printed on it. Entries will be taken on the day.
27km MTB Course Finalised!
New Course Filthy Animal...
The MTB club have added a new section of track that they have named 'Filthy Animal'. It's getting rave reviews.
The Filthy Animal forms part of the MTB course this year as well as a new track through private farmland!! Be among the first to try it at the event!
So which event should you enter?
With walk it, run it, bike it options you can choose the event based on how fit you feel, or if you want to challenge yourself to get fit - aim higher!
Start with 5km.
Can you walk or run 5km? This course is for you, it starts flat and meanders under trees along a stream, then a gradual uphill and easy descent to make your way back to the start.
Not far enough?
We also have the option to walk or run a 12km course, which adds a longer hill section and some amazing views. We have a lot of entries from last years 5km taking on the 12km this year to make it last longer!And for the serious runners we have an 18km course, the run offers some testing hills, private farm tracks and a great view from the top!
Get on your bike!
We have a 13km and 25km course to challenge yourself on. The 13km has easier gradients than the longer 25km course - this one has a 600m elevation.
Serious multi-sporter?
The 25km bike and the 18km run are challenging events, with hill climbs and downhills. You can compete in a team by taking on the Whitehorse Challenge.
For the kids.
For the younger kids not keen to take on any of the above courses, we have 1.5km bikeor run races around the show grounds.
